Pool Multi Bracket Playoff

Pool Play Multi Playoff Brackets are a bracket system where a pool play group schedule is played and final standings within each group determine which final playoff position the team will advance.

Pool play multi playoff brackets are comprised of 2 or more single elimination brackets.

Pool play multi playoff brackets can have any number of finishers from each group advance into them.

In this example, the 1st place finishers of Group 1 and Group 2 drop into the #1 playoff bracket. The 2nd place finishers of each group drop into playoff bracket #2. 3rd place finishers of each group drop into the #3 bracket to compete.

Advantages:

Allows similar skill level placing finishers of each group to compete against each other in further match play.

Pool Play Multi Playoff Brackets allow final placing to be determined out to an unlimited number of positions.

Disadvantages:

Unlike a pool single playoff bracket, teams advancing to the #2 or #3 brackets can never win the division championship and are competing for a lower final standing.
