Register for Event Divisions

The second step to register for an event is selecting which tournament divisions or categories in which to compete. Depending on the sport, divisions are listed differently broken up by skill level, age, gender, and if the division is a doubles or team competition division.

Divisions are listed within their division types and are color codes based on the type of category it is. Normal divisions, in which 1 player or team competes against another singles player or team at a time, are color coded in gray. Individual sports with doubles divisions are color coded in light blue. Also, not shown here, are team competition divisions which allow 3 or more players to form and compete as a team. Team competition divisions are color coded in pink.

To register for event divisions, click the check box next to the division name. There will be text I red above the divisions that will indicate the maximum number of divisions that a competitor may enter. Next to doubles and team competition divisions, there will be an additional text field to enter the doubles partner or team name.

The first division listed in the Men’s Singles is a restricted division highlighted in red. If the director doesn’t want the participants to be able to register for event categories within some of the division types, in the tournament template setup the director can restrict online entry. Only the director can add participants to a restricted division by logging into the tournament manager.

After the user makes selections to register for event categories, there are two optional comments boxes. One is for recent tournament results and can help the director when performing the bracket maker seeding. The other box is for is any personal time conflicts that you want the director to know about and hopefully adjust when setting times for the tournament draws.

At the bottom it will indicate the register for event type is online entry. When a director goes through the backend, there will be a drop down menu to choose either mail, phone, venue, email, or unknown type of entry method. This information will show up on the bracket generator stats page.

When all the info is filled in and selections are made, click the link at the very bottom to go to step three which is the registration online summary.
