Set Tournament Maker Conflicts
|
When participants register online, there is a box for them to enter personal time conflicts and seeding considerations. These options can be turned on and off in the tournament template setup. The tournament maker comments page shows all of these comments made during registration.
The director can click the link to use the tournament maker to update comments for all tournament participants, then can add a new comment for a player that currently had none.
When a time conflict is requested, it is up to the director to grant that conflict. This is done by blocking out the times that the competitor cannot play. For example, the first person, Drew, has Friday blocked out from 8:30 am until 2:00 pm, so his first match can be at 2 pm or later. When using the auto match scheduler, it will push the match back past the blocked time period. When setting times for tournament draws, these granted time conflicts trough the tournament maker will be listed next to the player’s name and be color coded in yellow on the grid to indicate a warning.
When a participant cannot play from the beginning of the day, select the option start of day, and when a player can only play before a certain time, use the end of day option.
By default, the tournament maker allows for 2 time restrictions per participant. However, once the update link is pressed at the bottom of the page, it will add 2 new additional slots. This will continue as many times as necessary allowing for a player to have an unlimited number of time conflicts.
