Website Membership Types

The website membership types page shows all the different membership types that your organization has setup. Create different types of memberships such as adult, junior, and lifetime.

Icons next to each record allow you to view or edit the membership administration settings of the website membership type, view all the users with that type of membership, or delete the record. For protection, membership types cannot be deleted if any users are linked to them.

Each membership can have an icon to represent it. When users make the selections on the member site, they will see the image along with the short description so when users are making a selection they understand what they are buying and choose the appropriate website membership type.

If you no longer wish to offer a certain membership you can deactivate it so users will no longer be able to renew with that type.

Set the membership name and select a category in which the membership belongs. Several different website membership types can be in the same category, and the category expiration date will be the furthest date in the future of all the memberships within that type.

Designate the price of the membership and create a term. The expiration date can be a certain period of time, or it can end on a specific date. There is also an option to set the expiration date to the first of the month. A stop offering date can also be added if you want the membership to automatically deactivate after a certain date.

Restrict who can purchase a membership by their age, having to be older or younger than a specific number of years. For example, a user may only be able to purchase a junior membership if they are under the age of 21 years old.
